I must express how grateful I am for the time I have been granted to spend with my kids the last few months. It has been tough financially, but in the grand scheme of things, when we as a family look back on the memories that are being created during this critical time, we will not remember that we didn't bring in a big paycheck. We will remember things like:
Spending time together. Dancing with the baby. Giving the baby and bath and getting peed on. (but I'm getting much quicker). Watching Brynn graduate from 6th grade. Teaching Camryn how to hit a softball. Making pink rice krispie squares and green eggs and ham. Taking tons of pictures and then emailing them to Costco to pick them up and insert into the carry around photo books. Being home for my kids when they get out of school. Swimming lessons. Piano recitals. Making PB&J sandwiches. Making sure Daddy has a healthy lunch to take to work with him so he doesn't have to drive through and grab something fast, greasy and bad for him. Taping all of Camryn's drawings on the walls. Being awake at 3AM to feed the baby and watch Fox and Friends (although I've been bummed out that he is sleeping until 5 now and I miss the first two hours). Attempting to banish the middle school fears from my baby girl who is headed that way. So much unending laundry. Ironing a patch on a pair of torn jeans. Growing pumpkins for Halloween. Learning about what developmental milestones my children will be working on this month and watching it happen before my eyes. All of these things, while some seem mundane, are the greatest blessing a mom can have. I am so grateful to my Creator and Savior for the gift that he has given me.
