Holy Moly! I just read my last post and realized that it has been a while since my last update!! The comment about Brett Farve retiring for real this time was the give-away! Clearly Brett has gracefully donned the purple uniform and is loving playing the game with Percy and Adrienne. It has been amazing to see the crowd of purple people eaters lovingly embrace the man who was their arch enemy for 18 years!! I guess it just depends on the color of the jersey.
My girls are hanging their heads in sorrow and dismay that the NFL is still in existence, inspite of the huge 2-girl protest that they put on every week. But the boy ... OH BOY! His favorite color is purple! "The Jasons" live, eat, breathe and bleed purple! Jason II loves to watch the game and be thrown around when we get a touch down! He hangs out in his bouncer saucer thing and stands tall and cheers right along with mommy and daddy! He's learning which ref's are good and which ones need to be ejected into outer space. I hope he doesn't have to learn the art of "how to be truly excited and full of joy for the first half just to have your hopes dashed, your team humiliated, and your ego rapidly deflated all through the second half and your pride in your team is dragged through the mud and then you spend the rest of the week hanging your head in shame because you knew this was going to happen but you still held out hope that maybe, just once, the team wouldn't choke this time" until at least next year or so. Maybe at Christmas Santa will bring matching jerseys for the boys... or maybe by that time we will be far enough through the season that it will not be necessary. Only time will tell ...
I have a bunch of awesome new pics of the kids and I'll get them up next week sometime. Meanwhile, GO VIKES!!
